Re: Vantage Tariffs Impact
As a valued partner, we want to keep you informed about the current impact of tariffs on goods imported into the United States.
Current tariffs in place are as follows:
• Goods from China are subject to a 145% tariff.
• Steel and aluminum imports are subject to a 25% tariff.
• There is a 10% Reciprocal Tariff now in effect for goods originating from all countries within our
non-domestic supply chain, except for Mexico and Canada.
We continue to closely monitor the developments surrounding tariffs and have taken proactive steps during the past several months to mitigate the effect on our product costs and product pricing.
The situation remains fluid, but based on the current tariffs being imposed, here is our current position:
- Global Supply Chain: Vantage sources raw material and components from various global geographies. This supplier diversity helps us ensure product availability and avoids overreliance on a single country or region. In addition, we have a strong domestic supply base.
- US Based Production: Vantage has continued to manufacture its products in the United States. We have maintained this manufacturing footprint for over 100 years. Our continued investment in our US-based operations has us well-positioned to continue supporting our customers and mitigating current tariff impacts.
- Price Adjustments: We waited until we had clear information on both the level and enforcement of tariffs before implementing any related price increases. As the tariff levels outlined above are now being enforced, we have completed a thorough review of our costs and pricing structure to address their impact. Our goal is to minimize the impact on both your business and ours. Based upon the tariffs shown above, we have increased prices across specific product lines as outlined below, effective May 8, 2025:
