All Hollister-Whitney safety models are designed to provide maximum safety, and are fully compliant with ASME A17.1 and EN81 codes. The automatic application of stopping forces equally on both sides of the rail, as well as a car safety switch activated by the linkage under the car, offer a powerful safety solution for a wide range of installations.
Overspeed Governors & Tension Weights
The Hollister-Whitney Overspeed Governor is designed and built to meet both ASME A17.1 and GSA specifications. Each Governor is tested, preset and sealed at the factory and comes with a selection of standard equipment.
We also offer a range of Tension Weight assemblies specifically designed to match and complement each governor model.
Spring & Oil Buffers
The Hollister-Whitney Series 500 Oil Buffers is your top choice for easy-to-install, reliable and rugged car and counterweight oil buffers – readily mountable wherever reliable oil buffers are needed. All our Series 500 Oil Buffers are built to conform to ASME A17.1 and GSA B44 safety codes, they are aligned to New York City Housing Authority specifications, and have Material and Equipment Acceptance (MEA) approval from the City of New York Department of Buildings.
